Huaxia Edison Dancing Troupe is a nonprofit art organization in New Jersey. It consists of about 18 members and is specialized in Chinese folk dancing. Since its establishment in 1999, the troupe has performed many Chinese folk dances for festivals and community services in the Tri-states with the performing pictures being highlighted on the Star Ledgers. We are committed to reveal the beauty of the Chinese folk dancing that is enriched with the cultures of the 56 Chinese ethnic groups. We are also committed to be the cultural ambassador to introduce and to share the Chinese culture with others. It has been 10 years since we started dancing. We honor the time of our dedication and the glory on every stage. We are proud of ever remark from the audiences and would share our joy once again with the collection of dances of the 10 year journey. Huaxia Edison Dancing Troupe is a nonprofit organization focusing on the Chinese folk dancing. It consists of about 20 members; mostly working mothers residing in Edison Township. Under the direction of Yan Chen, members learn and practice various types of Chinese folk dances every Sunday while their children are in the Huaxia Chinese School. Since its establishment in 1999, the troupe have performed many dances for numerous events with their performing pictures highlighted in the Star Ledger newspaper in 2000. The mission of the dance troupe is to reveal the beauty of the Chinese folk dancing that has been enriched with the different cultures of 56 nationalities in China and to share our culture with others. |
